Amdocs, which provides customer management software and services, is working with Microsoft and other leading vendors to provide integrated subscriber management for IPTV broadband video deployments.

At the IPTV World Forum conference in London, Amdocs announced that it is working with Orca Interactive and an ecosystem of partners, including Bitband, Kasenna, NagraVision, NDS and OpenTV.

The company also says it is engaged with Microsoft on the implementation of customer lifecycle management for a major telco. This will involve integrating front and back office systems to support voice, video and data services.

“Communication service providers are looking to create a competitive advantage in this converging market and to deliver an intentional and superior customer experience across the complete package of services, customer touch points and devices,” said Michael Matthews of Amdocs.

The company says it is not enough just to launch IPTV services. Achieving market leadership requires the adoption of a customer-centric business model to transform telecommunications operations into a multimedia entertainment business.

The Amdocs solution includes a modular range of billing and self-service customer management products. Amdocs employs over 9,500 information technology staff.
