Canada’s largest digital television service provider, Bell ExpressVu, now has 1.5 million subscribers and promises more interactive services in the future.
Bell ExpressVu broadcasts more than 400 digital video and audio channels by direct to home satellite, including up to 25 high-definition channels together with interactive TV services.
“In 2004, we introduced simplified programming packages with more choice and made it easier for consumers to navigate our hundreds of great digital channels,” said Robert Odendaal, president of Bell ExpressVu. “Our customers can look forward to even more innovative hardware, unique iTV services and additional HDTV content.”
The company says it will continue its subscriber growth momentum in 2005 thanks to its rollout of interactive and high-definition services, together with internet protocol delivered television over telephone lines in the Ottawa, Montreal and the Greater Toronto area.
