CGTV, the Casino and Gaming Television network, is partnering with Boardwalk Gaming and Entertainment and plans to launch an interactive service on Bell ExpressVu in Canada.

The service will include interactive elements exploiting Boardwalk’s experience in producing bingo and keno in gaming venues. CGTV says this will serve as a ‘test bed’ as Casino and Gaming Television develops to serve the nascent US interactive television marketplace.

“We felt Boardwalk’s prominence within the Canadian gaming and entertainment communities and their ability to capitalize on the country’s advanced iTV environment to be paramount to the success of CGTV Canada,” said CGTV’s president and chief executive Nickolas J. Rhodes.

“As CGTV US develops beyond its launch in 2005, we foresee relying on our Canadian counterpart to provide us with a blueprint on how to successfully integrate interactivity into our content offerings.”
