Ensequence, the interactive television authoring tools and services company, is losing the managing director of its international division, based in London.
John Holland, managing director of Ensequence International, is resigning from the company to return to consulting in interactive digital media.
He told informitv that he was leaving on the best of terms to consult for a number of clients and he expected that Ensequence would continue to be among them.
“We would like to thank John for his three years of dedication and hard work at Ensequence,” the chief executive of Ensequence, Dalen Harrison, said in a statement. “John’s leadership has been instrumental in developing strong relationships with industry leaders in the UK interactive television industry and in establishing Ensequence as an industry leader in the space. We will be maintaining strong links with him going forward.”
During his three years at Ensequence, John Holland, a veteran of interactive television, closed deals with UKTV, MTV, Sky, Disney and the BBC.
His previous career included roles in interactive advertising and branding, having been a former head of interactive television and digital text services at the BBC, where he was responsible for the initial launch of the first BBC digital text service on digital terrestrial television.
News of his resignation comes weeks after Ensequence appointed a former Hollywood executive, Gary Marenzi, as its president, based in Los Angeles.
