Angel Gambino, the former controller of business development and emerging platforms at BBC New Media, has been appointed as VP of commercial strategy and digital media at MTV Networks UK.
In a newly-created role reporting to Michiel Bakker, the managing director of MTV Networks for the UK, Ireland and Scandanavia, Angel will focus on mobile strategy and other activities across interactive television, internet protocol television, video-on-demand and other interactive platforms.
Angel joined the BBC in 2001, where she was responsible for launching the BBC’s broadband offering, and building partnerships with third-party distributors and mobile operators.
