BritBox is an attempt by British broadcasters to take on Netflix at its own game. Led by ITV, the largest commercial broadcaster in the United Kingdom, in partnership with the BBC, it has 650,000 subscribers in the United States, compared to 60 million Netflix members. BritBox will launch later this year in the United Kingdom, where Netflix has around 11.5 million subscribers, or around 40% of homes. The ITV Hub player has around 29 million registered users in the United Kingdom, but only 500,000 subscribe to the Hub+ service. So how many homes will take up BritBox?
