Following the success of The Great Connected Television Debate at the IBC Conference in Amsterdam last September, this year I’ll be chairing The Great Quality Debate, asking the question ‘Do we really need to go beyond HD?’ 4K may have four times the resolution of high-definition television, but is it four times better? Can most people even see the difference? What’s your view? Teams of speakers will present their case for and against further improvements in the technical quality of television. Let me know if you have strong views either way. There will not be a newsletter next week as it’s a public holiday for some. We’ll be back after the break.
