For those that have been watching the amusingly accurate observational documentary on the build-up to the Olympics, Twenty Twelve, the sun is at last shining on London, as the capital wakes up to the idea that the games are actually going to go ahead more or less as planned. The probability of it raining on the opening parade remains a distinct possibility, but at least most of the country will be able to enjoy it at home on the television, radio, or online through various network-connected devices and displays, or even on large screens or in cinemas around the country. So that’s all good. I’m looking forward to seeing the Super Hi-Vision spectacle at Broadcasting House, as well as the 24 high-definition channels of extended coverage. Wherever you are, I hope you enjoy London 2012.
