Last week I was pleased to present a feature session at the annual summit of the Digital TV Group in London on the television transmission of the first steps of man on the moon, in anticipation of the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing. We were fortunate to have with us James Burke, who provided the commentary at the time for the BBC. Much of the original coverage has since been lost but we were able to piece together some archive footage. Look out for an amazing Apollo 11 movie, using recently restored archive material, that brings this incredible story to life.
