Games developer Iacta is providing a bundle of applications for interactive television on the OCAP platform using the Espial Escape browser.
The pack features basic interactive games such as solitaire and reversi, designed for use with a television remote control.
“With Espial Escape we ported 12 games to OCAP in a just a few weeks, and we’re now moving our entire library to it,” said Laura Buddine, chief executive of Iacta. “We’re encouraging operators who are moving to OCAP to add Espial Escape to their OCAP deployments to empower developers to quickly build compelling and profitable applications for them.”
The OCAP OpenCable Applications Platform is a software specification for interactive television designed to enable interactive software to run on any cable television service adopting the specification.
