This week in Connected Vision we cover two approaches to voice control for television. This solves many issues for viewer navigation and when it works well it can be very satisfying, but not everyone’s completely comfortable talking to their television, at least in expectation of any response. Talking of the viewer experience, the VUIX 2017 conference takes place at the British Museum in London on 1 November, dedicated to online video product design, development, strategy and user experience. Next week I’ll be in Rome for the sixth annual HbbTV Symposium. I look forward to seeing you there if you’re attending.
