The BBC iPlayer had not launched and YouTube did not exist when informitv started seven years ago. Since then, broadcasters have embraced broadband and new entrants have begun to challenge established television and video businesses. There’s still much to play for and it seems there’s still some way to go in broadband and broadcast convergence. More than ever, we’re seeing the need for strategic consultancy and practical implementation support as informitv advises clients worldwide. Later this month I’ll be in Sydney, where I’ll be one of the chairs of The TV Show Australia conference. There’s a special 15% discount on the standard delegate rate available for informitv readers. We are also able to offer a 15% discount for the Broadband World Forum Asia in Kuala Lumpur in May. See the events section on informitv.com for further details.
