There’s still an assumption among many that the ‘second screen’ of the phone or tablet plays a supporting role to the television. But for many the handheld screen has become their primary interface to the world. It’s now capable of presenting an increasingly high quality media experience, potentially even in ultra-high-definition. People will tend to turn to the screen that’s most appropriate for the particular context. We should not necessarily assume that the large living room screen will always dominate.
