Whether it’s a ‘free’ introductory offer, a bundle deal, or a breakthrough price, most people like to think they’re getting a bargain. It helps justify an impulse purchase. People tend to concentrate on price rather than value. It’s easier to make comparisons on perceived price than a complex cost-benefit matrix of parameters like utility, quality, performance, satisfaction, long-term value or total cost of ownership. Seems cheap to me. I’ll have three.
