This week we look at the continuing television subscriber losses in the United States and slower growth in the United Kingdom. Yet the number of pay-television homes worldwide is forecast to grow beyond a billion next year. As the Bafta TV Awards last night showed, there’s still much to celebrate in television programming, despite the dramatic growth of new global players. I look forward to meeting delegates at the Connected TV World Summit in London this week, where I’ll be chairing a discussion on how traditional entertainment companies can compete with online aggregators.
