So, the end of analogue television broadcasting in America is finally coming, ready or not. On Friday the digital television transition will be complete, although there are still concerns that millions of people may still be unprepared. In Britain the process has begun but will be a more gradual switchoff that will complete in 2012, by which time many other countries will have completed their transition. This week I will be participating in the Delivering Digital Britain conference in London, as we await the publication of Lord Carter’s strategy for the digital future of the nation. Next Tuesday, to coincide with the publication of the Digital Britain report, I will be chairing the third annual Broadband Connect Summit in London. I can offer a complimentary guest pass to an informitv reader that contacts me with the best reason for being there.
