Following the TV Connect event in London last week, the outstandingly successful ‘Out of the Box’ TV Challenge showed that there is plenty of room for innovation around television. The world of connected television still seems remarkably disconnected. Although a lot easier than it once was, it is still relatively difficult for designers and developers to create new television experiences. There are similarities with the mobile market, before Apple reinvented the smartphone and the tablet and changed everything. We are still waiting to see if the same thing will happen for television.
