There are numerous reports suggesting that pay television in the United States is in dire straits. Our Multiscreen Index shows that the top 10 services lost 1.6 million subscribers last year, even with additions from online services. Service providers still seem to be maintaining video revenues, although increasing cost is a significant cause of subscriber dissatisfaction. I’m looking forward to introducing some of the sessions at the Connected TV World Summit in London this week, where we’ll be looking at strategies to compete and add value to the viewing experience.
