I’ve been playing with the latest Apple TV box, the forth generation that I’ve owned. It remains a mixed experience. The selection of apps available so far is limited but the potential is enormous. The screensavers are absolutely beautiful but integration with other digital media in the home is still frustratingly flawed. Is this the future of television? Probably not, but it’s an indication of what an interactive television experience could become. Next month I’ll be taking part in the HbbTV Symposium in London, discussing the evolution of this international standard for hybrid broadcast broadband services. And this week it’s the OTT TV World Summit in London. Keep in touch with Connected Vision.
