Orca Interactive has announced the release of RiGHTv 4.2, the latest version of its internet protocol television applications software, with new features including personal video recorder functionality.

“Orca Interactive’s RiGHTv applications have been a major contributor to the success of our broadband IPTV initiative in Norway,” said Oyvind Klausen, chief executive of iVISJON, a Norwegian triple play provider. “The upgrade to the new version of RiGHTv will enable us to expand business by hosting multiple service providers on our headend.”

The new software will also be used to launch the first IPTV over fibre service in the Philippines. “We are most excited to offer new services such as personal video recording, which brings a unique TV viewing experience while reducing churn and generating additional revenues,” said Dorothy Tanedo Jao, chief executive of FiberCity.
